Terms of Use
Last updated: August 11, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Eugene Odhiambo, operating the product known as PawVoice ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account, registering a phone number, or calling the PawVoice phone number, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. About the Service
PawVoice lets pet owners and sitters call a dedicated phone number and speak naturally to log pet activities (walks, meals, medication, behavior notes). An AI voice assistant answers your call, turns what you say into a structured log entry, and shares it with the people you've authorized to view that pet's records. A companion web app lets you view, edit (within a limited window), and export those logs.
This is a communication and record-keeping tool. It is not a veterinary, medical, or emergency service. See Section 8.
2. Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make payments.
- If you are a professional sitter using PawVoice for business, you must comply with any obligations you owe your clients (for example, telling them their pet's activity is being logged through a third-party service).
- We don't knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account. If we learn an account belongs to a minor, we may suspend or terminate it.
3. Accounts, pets, and access
- You register with your email and phone number. Your phone number is how we identify you when you call to log an activity.
- A pet record can be created by an owner or a sitter; whoever creates it can invite the other party (by email) to be linked to that pet.
- Anyone linked to a pet can call and log activities for it, and can view that pet's shared log history.
- The person who created a log entry can edit it for 24 hours after it's saved; after that, it becomes permanent.
- You are responsible for everyone you invite. We can't verify the real-world identity or trustworthiness of anyone you link to a pet record.
4. Call recording and AI processing
When you call the PawVoice number, your call is recorded, transcribed, and processed by AI so we can save the log entry. The assistant announces this at the start of every call, before you speak. Continuing the call after that announcement means you consent to the recording and processing. If you don't consent, end the call.
Some jurisdictions (including several U.S. states) require the consent of all parties to a call before it can be lawfully recorded. If you call on behalf of, or in the presence of, another person, you must make sure you have their consent where the law requires it.
Call audio and transcripts are handled by our providers as described in our Privacy Policy. Our voice provider is configured with Zero Data Retention, so recordings and transcripts are not stored after the call.
5. Billing
- The Service is pay-as-you-go. You buy prepaid credit (your first top-up is $10 or more), and voice usage is metered at $0.35 per minute.
- If your balance drops below $3, we'll email you a top-up prompt. We do not charge a saved card automatically — you choose when to add credits.
- We keep a small overdraft buffer so a call already in progress is never cut off mid-conversation. Once your balance (including the buffer) runs out, new calls won't connect until you add credits.
- Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except where applicable law requires otherwise (for example, duplicate, fraudulent, or failed charges).
- Payments are processed by a third party (see Privacy Policy). We don't store your full payment card details.
6. Your responsibility for content
- Do not log false or misleading information about a pet in order to deceive anyone linked to that pet (for example, a sitter inventing visit records).
- Do not use the Service for unlawful purposes, or to harass, abuse, or invade another person's privacy.
- Do not try to access another user's account, pet records, or phone-number identity without authorization.
- Do not try to interfere with, or misuse, the voice/AI systems.
- Do not transmit illegal, defamatory, or rights-infringing content.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.
7. No medical advice
PawVoice is a logging and communication tool. It does not provide veterinary, medical, or emergency advice, and does not evaluate, diagnose, or judge the severity of anything. Log entries reflect what a caller said, captured as close to verbatim as reasonably possible — they are not reviewed or triaged by any veterinary professional or by us.
If your pet is having a medical emergency, contact your veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital right away. Do not rely on this Service for anything urgent.
8. Disclaimer and limit on liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to its accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
- We don't guarantee that voice transcription or AI extraction is perfect, that calls will always connect, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- To the fullest extent allowed by law, Eugene Odhiambo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three (3) months before the event that led to the claim.
- Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Ending these Terms and deleting your account
- You may delete your account and all of its data yourself at any time from Settings → Delete account. This removes your profile, the pets you own, activity logs, call history, and payment records.
- We may suspend or terminate your account for breaching these Terms, for non-payment, or for extended inactivity, where reasonably practicable.
- Unused prepaid credits are non-refundable on termination, except where law requires it (see Section 5).
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll tell you (by email, a notice in the app, or both) before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nairobi, Kenya for any dispute. If you are a U.S. resident or the laws of your jurisdiction require different terms (including around call recording or consumer rights), please have these reviewed by a lawyer.
